In the coming February 2020, the 5th edition of the league is going to held in 4 different cities of Pakistan. PSL 2020 Draft for most expensive players is yet to be held but different international players have approached to PCB to get themselves in the draft list of the league.

Like the previous editions, the players are categorized into the Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver, or the Emerging players. These categories based on the base salary of the players and ultimately affect the value of the player. The platinum is the top most category of the league. The base salary of platinum players was $140,000 in the first league, which has increased to a minimum of $160,000 to a maximum of $250,000 in this season. The players of the platinum category are the most expensive. Talking about the most expensive players, star icon Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Shane Watson, Keven Peterson, Shakib-al-Hassan, Alex Hales, Eoin Morgan, and some other are the name that was most expensive in the previous editions. Some of them were icon players with a salary of $200,000. As the final lists of the players with the payroll are not announced yet but with the estimate of the previous season, and value of the players, the players that may be the most expensive will include Dale Steyn, pacer of South Africa and fresh addition in the league will be the most expensive player because of his brilliant performances in domestic, international, and other leagues.
